Great Response to Investing in Iganga

HLECC nursery

Since our last newsletter going out in July our supporters have raised a fantastic £4,400 towards the £10,000 target to build a new nursery building at High Level Early Childhood Centre in Iganga, Uganda.

The current nursery building which accommodates over 100 children between 3-5 years is often prone to collapse when there is heavy rainfall as it is built from mud. The school has plans to build a brick classroom block which will not only provide a more secure building for the children but will also give more space for the children to learn in. It will still be a far cry for the wonderful facilities we are able to offer our pre-schoolers in the West but the new building will be a vast improvement on existing conditions.

Our target is to start building in December 2013. You can still be a part of making a difference for these children. If you would like to donate please visit this link or send a cheque into the office marked 'Iganga Appeal.' Don't forget to Gift Aid if you can.

Thank you
